Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
- M.Sc./M.Tech in:
- Atmospheric Science, Oceanography, Geophysics, Marine Biology, Climate Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related fields.
- Computer Science/Data Science for AI/ML-based research roles.
- NET/GATE/JEST qualification mandatory (except for M.Tech candidates in some positions).
2. Age Limit
- Maximum 28 years (as of 10 June 2025).
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST/PwBD: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- Women/Ex-Servicemen: As per govt. norms.
3. Fellowship Structure
- JRF: ₹37,000/month + HRA (Initial 2 years).
- SRF: ₹42,000/month + HRA (After 2 years, subject to performance review).
Selection Process
- Screening of Applications (Based on academic records & NET/GATE scores).
- Interview (Conducted by MoES institutes).
- Final Selection (Merit-based).
