WBPDCL Recruitment 2025 Age Limit & Relaxation
- The maximum age limit for Unreserved (UR) category candidates is 32 years as of 01.09.2025.
- Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- PWBD: 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen (ExSM): Deduction of service period from actual age.
- WBPDCL/Contractor Employees & Exempted Category (EC): Up to 45 years.
- The overall upper age limit considering all relaxations is 45 years.

- Vernacular Test: A compulsory Bengali/Nepali language test of 10 marks (with a sectional cut-off of 4 marks) is part of the CBT.
- For Other Posts (Supervisor, Chemist, Operator, etc.):
- Selection will be based on performance in the Computer Based Test (CBT) only.
- The CBT will include the compulsory Bengali/Nepali language test.
