IMA Recruitment 2025 Key Eligibility Criteria
- Master’s Degree: A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science from a recognized university. For SC/ST/PwD candidates, the requirement is 50%.
- NET/Ph.D. Requirement: Candidates must have qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET)/SLET/SET. However, candidates with a Ph.D. degree awarded as per UGC Regulations 2009 or 2016 are exempt from NET.
- API Score: Candidates must calculate and submit an Academic Performance Indicator (API) Score as per Appendix-II of UGC Regulations, 2018. This score will be used for shortlisting candidates for the interview.
- Foreign Degree Option: A Ph.D. obtained from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 in global rankings (QS, THE, or ARWU) is also acceptable.
IMA Recruitment 2025 Selection Process
The selection will be a two-stage process:
- Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on the API (Academic Performance Indicator) Score submitted along with the application. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview.
- Interview: The final selection will be based solely on the performance in the personal interview. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

- List of publications and copies of best five papers.
