The Department of Civil Engineering, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Durgapur, invites applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a DSTBT (Department of Science & Technology and Biotechnology, Government of West Bengal) funded research project. The project, titled “Sustainable Ground Improvement Through Granular Column Filled with Coal Mine Overburden Aggregates,” aims to explore innovative geotechnical solutions. The selected candidate will work under Dr. Sanku Konai (PI) and Dr. Sushovan Dutta (Co-PI) for a duration of three years (subject to performance evaluation every six months). This is an excellent opportunity for M.Tech graduates (2025 batch included) to engage in cutting-edge research with a monthly fellowship of ₹25,000/- and possible upgradation to Senior Research Fellow (SRF) after two years.
