  1. A Degree in Law from a University established by Law in India or its equivalent.
  2. Working knowledge of Hindi written in Devnagri Script.
  3. Knowledge of Rajasthani Culture.

  • Age relaxation is applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories of Rajasthan as per state government rules.

The selection for the Junior Legal Officer post will be a two-stage process:

  1. Written Examination: The written exam will consist of four papers, each of 150 objective-type questions (MCQs). Each paper is for 50 marks and has a duration of 3 hours.
    • Paper-I: Constitution of India (Emphasis on Fundamental Rights, DPSP, Writs, functioning of SC/HC, Attorney General).
    • Paper-II: Civil Procedure Code (CPC) and Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) – Provisions generally referred to in Govt. offices.
    • Paper-III: Evidence Act, Limitation Act, Interpretation of Statutes, Drafting, and Conveyancing.
    • Paper-IV: Language Paper (Part-A: General Hindi – 25 marks, Part-B: General English – 25 marks).
    • Negative Marking: Yes, 1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
  2. Interview (Viva-Voce): Candidates who secure the minimum qualifying marks in the written exam will be called for an interview. The interview will carry marks up to 10% of the total marks of the written examination.

The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined marks of the written exam and the interview.

  1. Application Mode: Applications must be submitted ONLINE only through the official RPSC website.
  2. One Time Registration (OTR): Candidates must first complete the One Time Registration (OTR) on the Rajasthan SSO Portal (https://sso.rajasthan.gov.in).
  3. Application Fee:
    • General / OBC (Creamy Layer) / MBC (Creamy Layer) Candidates: ₹600/-
    • Reserved Category (SC/ST/OBC Non-Creamy Layer/MBC Non-Creamy Layer/EWS) & PwBD Candidates: ₹400/-
    • Note: Candidates from other states must apply under the General category and pay the General fee.
  4. Application Submission: After OTR, log in to the SSO portal, go to Citizen Apps (G2C) > Recruitment Portal, and fill out the online application form for this specific recruitment.
  5. Documents: A scanned copy of your signature and left thumb impression are mandatory to upload.
  6. Deadline: The last date to submit the online application is September 25, 2025, till 12:00 Midnight.
