Q1. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts. Can I apply for the Project Assistant (Logistics) post?
A1. No. The essential qualification requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts other than Fine Arts/Performing Arts. Degrees in Fine Arts or Performing Arts are explicitly excluded. Candidates with degrees in Arts (general), Commerce, Science, Computer Applications, or Business Administration are eligible.

Q2. What is the contract period and is there any possibility of permanent employment?
A2. The contract tenure is for a maximum period of five years, subject to project requirements and individual performance. The vacancy is purely on a contract basis for a specific period. CSL is not liable to offer permanent appointment during or after the completion of the contract period. No right for regularization shall accrue.

Q3. I have experience in logistics but not specifically in customs clearance. Am I eligible?
A3. No. The essential experience requirement is specifically “minimum 2 years experience in customs clearance and related activities.” General logistics experience without customs clearance work will not meet the eligibility criteria. Candidates must have demonstrable experience in customs procedures.

Q4. How is the percentage of marks calculated if my university awards CGPA?
A4. If your University/Institute defines criteria for conversion of CGPA/OGPA/CPI into percentage, that shall be accepted. You may produce the percentage conversion certificate issued by the University. Where the University does not define criteria or provide conversion certificate, Aggregate Grade Points may be multiplied by 10 to get the required percentage of marks.

Q5. What is the selection process venue and will I get TA/DA?
A5. The selection process (Objective Test, Descriptive Test, and PowerPoint Presentation) shall be held at Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), KochiNo TA/DA shall be paid to candidates for attending the selection process. Candidates must make their own arrangements.
