CSIR NML Recruitment 2025 Selection Process

1. Competitive Written Examination	Mode: OMR or Computer Based (Objective MCQ). Pattern: 200 questions from General Intelligence (50), General Awareness (50), and English Language (100). Duration: 2 hours. Marking: 1 mark per question. Negative Marking: 0.25 for each wrong answer.	Merit-Based
2. Proficiency Test in Stenography	Format: A 10-minute dictation at 80 words per minute, in English or Hindi (as opted by the candidate). Transcription Time: English (50 mins), Hindi (65 mins).	Qualifying Only

Final Merit: The final merit list is prepared solely on the basis of the marks obtained in the Competitive Written Examination, but only for candidates who qualify in the stenography test.

CSIR NML Recruitment 2025 Age Limit

The general age limit for candidates is 18 to 27 years as of the closing date (31 December 2025). Upper age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India rules:
