HPCL Recruitment 2026 Syllabus / Evaluation
The selection is based on merit of marks obtained in the qualifying engineering degree. There is no separate written examination or interview. The final percentage/marks in B.E./B.Tech. (all semesters/years combined) will be the sole criterion for shortlisting and merit list preparation.
Percentage Calculation:
- The degree percentage as provided by the university/college will be considered.
- Where CGPA/GPA or letter grade is awarded, the equivalent percentage of marks, as per norms adopted by the university/institute, must be indicated in the application. A certificate to this effect from the university/institute will be required at the time of document verification.
- Where the above conversion is not available, the percentage marks will be arrived at by dividing the total marks obtained by the candidate in all the semester(s)/year(s). The fraction of percentage so arrived will be ignored (e.g., 49.99% will be treated as less than 50%).
