Q1. I have a degree in Mining Engineering but do not possess the DGMS Overman Competency Certificate. Can I apply for Junior Overman post in this MCL Recruitment 2026?
A1. No. Possession of a valid Overman Competency Certificate (Un-Restricted) issued by DGMS under Coal Mines Regulations is an essential qualification for the Junior Overman post. Additionally, valid First Aid and Gas Testing certificates are also mandatory. Mere educational qualification without these statutory certificates will lead to rejection .

Q2. Is there any negative marking in the Computer-Based Test in this MCL Recruitment 2026?
A2. No. The official notification and all reliable sources confirm that there is no negative marking for wrong answers in the MCL Recruitment 2026 CBT .

Q3. Can candidates from outside Odisha apply for MCL Recruitment 2026?
A3. Yes. MCL is a central public sector enterprise under Coal India Limited, and the recruitment is open to applicants from across India. There is no state-wise domicile restriction .
